Wednesday Night Supper Club
Every Wednesday Night a group of friends and their children gather for dinner and conversation in our fellowship hall. If you have not yet experienced this event, we encourage you to give it a try. Over time we have become like family together. A family is always enriched by new visitors. And, hopefully, the “visitors” will come to feel like part of the family too.
At 6 PM we stand in a circle and hold hands as we thank the Lord for our food and to remember to Him those in need of His blessing. Then, we line up at the serving table to fill our dishes with food – chatting all along the way. Children of similar ages tend to gather together in one area of the room, while the adults tend to gather together in another table setting. We look forward to seeing each other each week. This is a fun time.
In case you are wondering, we do not have a hired “chef.” And the food is purchased thanks to money collected from donation baskets. As we are able, we tend to take turns preparing the meal (or purchasing it from a local restaurant) and/or cleaning up the kitchen. Don’t be worried if you cannot help with these tasks. You are welcome just to join us for the meal. We look forward to getting to know each other better.
It is helpful to the “per diem chef” to know how much food to prepare. So please remember to sign up on the sheets outside the church office, or sign up here. Inline article positioning by Inline Module. |
