1   Link   New England Seafarers Mission
NESM welcomes and looks after the needs of working seafarers who pass through the ports and waters of New England. We're a frugal non-profit with good stewardship of the resources entrusted to us for this work.

As a Christian Industrial Mission, we stand in a long line of how the Church of Jesus Christ makes a witness to all people that they are beloved of God. We show through deeds that they have dignity as an individual created in God's image.
2   Link   Habitat for Humanity International
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry.

Habitat welcomes all people—regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or any other difference—to build simple, decent, affordable houses with those who lack adequate shelter.
3   Link   Covenant MERGE Ministries
Dale Lusk attended North Park Theological Seminary, in Chicago, and earned a Master of Divinity degree. While in seminary Dale asked God for wisdom, and direction, about where God wanted him to serve. In 1991 Dale was sent by the Covenant denomination to visit the Covenant churches in Northern Mexico. After only two days it became clear to Dale that this was the place God had called. With the blessing of the Evangelical Covenant Church leaders, Dale started Covenant Merge Ministries in 1993.

In the past 14 years over 10,400 people have served Christ in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, through Covenant Merge Ministries, and have touched the lives of about 40,000 people. The 50-60 teams, who serve through Covenant Merge Ministries annually, have served churches, camps, Christian schools, children’s homes and community outreach ministries.

Each summer Merge runs a summer staff program for people interested in serving Christ for an extended period of time in Latin American. These staff members help enable the mission teams to do ministry cross culturally. So far over 100 people have enjoyed participating in this mission opportunity.
4   Link   Bread for the World
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist, we provide help and opportunity far beyond the communities in which we live.
5   Link   Covenant World Mission
Covenant World Mission facilitates intercultural ministries around the world. We partner with churches and international believers to glorify God's name bringing the whole gospel to the whole world.
6   Link   Haven from Hunger
Haven From Hunger was started in 1985 by several volunteers as a soup kitchen serving an evening meal 2 nights a week at the United Methodist Church of Peabody. Following a fire at the church, the Haven moved to its present location.
Our food pantry program is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am-2pm. We serve residents living in Peabody, Salem and Lynnfield. We provide our clients with good, nutritional food that consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, dairy products, etc. We also provide an a hot, nutritional evening meal the same four evenings at 5pm.

Verse of the Day

Romans 15:5-6
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
