1	Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC) The purpose of HAWC is to create social change by taking action against personal and societal patterns of violence and oppression. HAWC provides services and support to victims of domestic violence residing in 23 cities and towns on Massachusetts' North Shore in order that they may make informed, independent decisions about their futures, and access alternatives to living in a violent situation.
2	Inn Between The Inn Between is an emergency shelter for homeless families. Founded in 1985, this lovely Victorian home houses six families at a time, and includes one fully handicapped-accessible room. The Inn Between also maintains a "community room," which is available for homeless families who are ineligible for shelter assistance from the state. A melding of program services ensures that families return to independent living as soon as possible. The Inn Between is also contracted to house 4 additional homeless families who are sheltered at the Inn Transition facility.
